This healthy roasted Brussels sprouts recipe with date syrup is a slight variation on the classic balsamic roasted Brussels and it is DELICIOUS and super easy! Even my kids ate this green side dish without complaints!
If you haven’t heard of date syrup, it is just what it sounds like, dates in syrup form. It is a perfect staple in any kitchen and can be used in salads, to sweeten coffee drinks and tea, on roasted veggies, and more. Just Date Syrup is the brand I use but there are other options on amazon as well. Date syrup has a low-glycemic index and is my favorite alternative sweetener these days so it was only natural to try it with one of my favorite vegetables.
For this recipe you will simply add some date syrup, olive oil, garlic, salt, pepper and fresh squeezed lemons to your Brussels sprouts and roast until your desired doneness, for me that is about 25 minutes. These roasted Brussels are a great addition to practically any meal.
