preheat your oven to 425 °F. Add a cube of butter to your 9 X 13 dish and place in the oven until the butter is melted, and then remove from oven.
Blend the flour, eggs, milk, salt and vanilla, in your blender on low speed until fully combined.
Pour the batter into the buttered dish and then bake in the oven for 25-30 minutes or until puffy, cooked through and starting to lightly brown at the edges.
Take German pancakes out of the oven once they are done cooking, and cut into squares.
Serve with toppings such as Nutella, sliced bananas, freshly whipped cream and a drizzle of syrup.
