I am having Thanksgiving at my house tomorrow but I’m lucky because my parents are coming over and basically cooking all the hard stuff. I’m responsible for veggies, dessert and setting the table. I think having individual place cards at holiday dinners is such a lovely touch but I have left making mine to the last minute. Top 10: Dessert Galettes

Dessert galettes are like pie but better because you don’t have to fuss over a perfect crust. I made a fruity dessert galette for my sister Jessica’s birthday once and besides the melted candle wax that snuck in with the raspberries it was lovely. I don’t ever want to give off the impression on this blog that I am cooking complete meals for my family every single night or perfect at eating healthy. I love to cook and I find it a tremendously important priority to feed my family nourishing food ideally from local and sustainable sources. That being said, I definitely don’t eat this way all the time and I have my share of guilty pleasures.
